My Story: Starting Questline Creations
Hey, I’m Henry, the solo creator behind Questline Creations. At its heart, this project is about one simple thing: bringing people together and having a great time.
The Questline Spark
I’ve always loved games. Specifically, I love the in-person social ones that get a room buzzing. They get friends talking and force people who don’t know each other to connect in a new way.
For example, I run a Dungeons & Dragons group for my friends. After hosting a couple of murder mystery evenings, I had a thought: why not write one myself? Therefore, I decided to learn from the best. This led me to contact the pros at Freeform Games UK, setting me on this path.
The Detours That Led Here
My journey here wasn’t exactly a straight line, though. I’ve tried to launch many businesses: a brewery, a music label, a clothing brand, and even cybersecurity consulting. Unfortunately, they all failed for one reason or another.
Looking back, I wasn’t always mature enough to commit, experiment, or build something real. Sometimes a lack of time or money was the issue. But often, it was simply the hesitation to truly start or the inability to ask for help.
You can read a thousand books on running the perfect company. However, none of that matters if you don’t take the first step and make your first sale. Ultimately, all those past attempts were lessons, and they have all led me here.
Our Creative Inspiration
Questline Creations is the result of that entire journey. Now, it’s my way of sharing a love for all things puzzles and interactive stories. My work is inspired by incredible creators and works, for example: Journal 29, The Paper Labyrinth, the games by Freeform Games, and Into the Dungeon by Hari Connor.
I hope the experiences I create bring you and your friends together for an adventure you won’t forget.
Finally, thanks
